Worried that you can´t find interesting things to do with your teenagers children in Porto?
Then this post is for you!

Porto has a lot of things to do with teenagers. All the way from museums to speedboat experiences on the river Douro. They won´t get bored!

We will focus on activities for the entire family in Porto.

They can also be experienced only by the children while you enjoy a nice glass of Portuguese wine! :)

Portugal has about 1000km of coast line and the connection to the Atlantic ocean is very important for us. Around Porto there are more than 40 beaches, all with the European Blue Flag award for excellent quality.

Let’s start with some water activities in Porto

Surf Experiences – there are a few surf schools in Porto. Fisherman Surf School is a surf school in Gaia, run by a ex-professional surfer and high school teacher so, very used to teach kids.

SUP experiences – again, Fisherman Surf School creates Stand Up Paddle experiences in one of the most amazing places in the river Douro, the Natural Reserve next to the mouth of the river.

If they want a “radical” experience, you can try the Jet Boat experience on the Douro river. “a adrenaline rush and speed, only for the more adventurous!”

Coming back to the city, there are some interesting museums to visit in Porto

The Nacional Museum of Photography in the former prison of Porto, has a beautiful permanent exhibition of old cameras showing the evolution of photography. All visits are free.

You also have in Porto, the Porto Puppet Museum, where all puppets used in the Puppet Theater in Porto, are displayed after their plays ended.

At the top of the most interesting things to do with teenagers in Porto right now, must be:

The famous Lello Bookstore, the most beautiful bookstore in the world, built in 1906 and made popular among children by J.K.Rowling when she used it as inspiration for part of the Harry Potter universe.

Another activity that kids usually love is riding a motorcycle. And what better way to explore Porto than on our sidecars, at a safe slow pace to enjoy the views but still feel a bit of the adrenaline of riding a motorcycle.

To discover Porto and all this places, with a local guide and like a local, join us. We have 3 sidecars with english speaking guides that can carry up to 6 passengers. So it will be a private and amazing experience.

Our tours are also Carbon Neutral. Porto Sidecar Tours joined the United Nations Carbon Emissions program UNFCCC, and we offset the emissions from your tour with us.
